On this Saturnday, I remember back to the days I had an Astra, and I took this beautiful shot. :)

I wish I had it back again for a proper winter car; the Astra is undeserving of the winterbeater title. I see her driving around occasionally and always try to snap a pic when I do. She's with a very good family now, but I miss her..

Also, narrowed it down to two cars I want to discuss tomorrow, all I'm gonna say, is that I'm stubborn as hell with my choices and that should probably tell you what two I picked.

*goes back to crying to sleep* :(

Oh god, if I saw an old car of mine driving around that I liked, it'd kill me.

Mustang and 318ti? 318ti.

And you picked 318ti because...

Because BMW chassis tuning. And practical. And isn't something you see everywhere you go.

Okay, but let's put it this way:

If you have the choice of a 318ti and V6 Stang in manual trans, and a GT in auto trans, factoring cost to own, run, maintain and insure, which do you take based in which will be the cheapest overall?

The Mustangs are considered "Sports cars" by insurance companies, so they'll be more expensive there. Mustangs will use more gas by a good amount. Any of the three are pretty reliable. Work on them yourself, and maintenance will be cheap on any of them.

Overall, the BMW is the winner.

So in that case, any BMW would be cheaper to insure, so long as it isn't an M-car? You're giving me more bad ideas.

Here's the 318ti

And here are some more B cars

Pretty much. Mustangs are "sports cars" to insurance companies. No matter how slow the 4.0 V6 is.

Something looks funky with the ti's left front suspension. It's sitting lower or something.

The white one looks like it's had a hard life, but it is a beater.

The black one looks like the one if you're willing to repair the overheating issue.

I can't see what's wrong with the Ti suspension, but that black 328 looks good.

Maybe it's just the picture's angle. I dunno something about it looks strange.

That black 328i is exactly what I want in terms of a non-M E36. Ugh.

The next pic shows the car from the right and they match!
